Practicing the Presence: Hospitality
Our homes and lives are the most powerful combination of ministry to the world. To experience salvation, redemption, healing, and new life, we need an open and receptive space where transformation can occur. Hospitality is crucial for creating such a space. We can’t change the world through new plans or ideas, nor can we change others with our convictions or advice. But we can offer a space where people feel encouraged to disarm, set aside their concerns, and listen to the transformative calls from Jesus, themselves, and their friends. In this breakout, you’ll explore the biblical foundation of hospitality, its essential role in discipleship, and how it can transform your life.
Peter Dahlin is a disciple-maker who is passionate about becoming more like Jesus. When not doing stereotypical pastor stuff, you’ll find him kayaking, wood-working, or at the pool. The last book Pete read was Reaching Out by Henri Nouwen and if he could live anywhere in the world for a year, he would choose New Zealand.
Drake is a disciple-maker who is passionate about discipleship, missions, and trying to save saved people from complacency. When not working alongside Peter with Adult Ministries, you’ll find him playing sports or hanging with friends. The last book Drake read was Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer and if he could live anywhere in the world for a year, he would choose Honolulu, Hawaii.
