Mission, Vision, Values
Riverside Church is a place where you will experience a love that is beyond anything this world knows of, the love of Jesus Christ. Our purpose, the very reason we exist, is to make and send disciples who love and live like Jesus.
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20
MISSION STATEMENT
Riverside Church exists to make and send disciples who love and live like Jesus.
VISION
We place intentional disciple-makers into relational spaces.

We do this to make and send disciples who love and live like Jesus. We raise up willing disciples and resource relational spaces—the kinds of spaces where kids thrive, people get healthy, and generations work together; the kinds of spaces where people grow closer to Christ.
JESUS WEARS THE CROWN
Jesus is the king of kings. The Bible reveals his grace and truth so we can know him and follow him as he works in us and through us.

John 1:16-18; Colossians 1:18-20; 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12
RISK THE OCEAN
We live by faith and sail for deeper water. We are boldly generous with God's resources and our lives.

Jeremiah 12:5; Proverbs 3:5-6; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 5:7, 9-11
PRAYER IS PLAN A
Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to be an advocate and help us pray. To trust God, we start with prayer and everybody is on the prayer team. Prayer is plan A because there is no plan B.

PEOPLE NOT PROJECTS
We make disciples by being friends. We invite people into intentional relationship to draw near and follow Jesus.

PASS THE FLAME
We are part of something bigger. We pass on what we have been given and reproduce ourselves in ministry. We equip the next generation and work together to make disciple-makers.

CHAMPION CHILDREN
Jesus paid attention to kids and drew them to himself. We equip kids and families and fight for young people to know Jesus and thrive.

CROSS THE STREET
Jesus said, “Go.” He walked, sailed, and tore down walls to reach people who needed him. We do more than wave at our neighbors and pray for the people of the world—we go to where they are so we can share His grace and truth.

IT'S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY
“Come as you are” is not just a dress code. God has called us into a community of redemption. We welcome the devout and the desperate, whatever your background. You don’t have to be okay, but don’t expect to stay that way!
