There are no words that can express the sadness we are feeling over the devastation and destruction brought by Hurricane Helene. This page will be updated with our efforts to love our neighbors during this time. Please click the links below to donate toward our efforts or request assistance.

At Riverside, we believe in living out our value of “Cross the Street.” Jesus didn’t just wave at neighbors and pray from a distance—He went to where people were, walking, sailing, and tearing down walls to reach those in need. Right now, our neighbors in East Tennessee are facing the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, and it’s our turn to go.

Hurricane Helene has devastated many areas throughout the southern United States, including East Tennessee—where Pastor Steve grew up. That personal connection is why we chose to focus our efforts on this area, standing with those close to his heart as they begin to rebuild.

In the next 48 hours, we have the opportunity to fill a box truck with essential supplies to bring relief, hope, and the love of Christ to those affected. We’re collecting items from Wednesday at 9am through Friday at 9am, and we need your help to make a difference.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Generators

  • Chainsaws

  • Gas cans

  • Costco-sized boxes of diapers

  • Baby wipes

  • Formula

  • Batteries

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Contractor bags

This is more than a donation drive—it’s an act of faith in motion. Let’s show up, fill this truck, and cross the street to bring God’s grace and truth to our neighbors. If you’re unable to donate physical supplies, you can still help by clicking the link below to make a financial contribution. Every bit counts!

We know that Hurricane Helene has impacted families here in Southwest Florida as well, and we want to help however we can. If you or someone you know needs assistance as you begin the cleanup and rebuilding process, please click the link below to request support. While we can’t promise to meet every need, we’re committed to doing our best in the areas where we’re equipped to lend a hand.
